New Orleans Trombone Lessons
Chris is a trombone player and teacher with a Bachelor of Music with Honours from Toronto’s prestigious Humber College. He has years of experience as both a private instructor and clinician both in Canada and internationally in Barbados and Havana, Cuba.
He has directed ensembles at the university level, taught children how to hold the instrument and worked with players from every skill level. He maintains a busy career playing and recording as a freelance trombonist with many of Canada’s finest musicians in countless styles. You may have heard of his work with The Heavyweights Brass Band, his own quartet and countless other groups, many of them stars with Grammy nominations or Juno awards.
Chris is personable, easy to get along with and cares about your success on the instrument. He takes on all levels of students from the retired hobbyist, to a total beginner, as long as they are keen on growing and learning musically from an inspiring and knowledgeable teacher.
Remember it’s best to get on track with lessons as early as possible in your development, so don’t delay. Lessons take place at Chris’ fully equipped downtown studio space.
